TeaSquares is a consumer packaged goods startup whose flagship product, Focus Bites, delivers mental energy, focus, and clarity to the consumer. I assisted in the creative direction for their 2020 brand campaign, and executed all of the copy in the delivered assets, including a new tagline, social posts, a revised website, and a promotional video.

brand identitY & tagline

TeaSquares needed a brand identity that distinguished itself from adjacent market spaces. Their Focus Bites aren’t designed to be an alternative to snack aisle staples like chips, but they don’t belong with energy bars or drinks like Five Hour Energy—those supplements offer jittery, physical energy, whereas TeaSquares Focus Bites offer a calming, centering mental boost to help the consumer stay focused.

As such, their brand identity needed to avoid the typical aesthetic of those “high-octane” energy drinks, and communicate to the shopper that this is a different kind of energy—not for running a marathon, but for nailing a job interview.

My tagline, “Focus On What’s Next” emphasizes that difference—focus, not hyperactivity—as well as the ideal use case—your “next”, not a nine-mile race. Shoppers use Focus Bites to fuel their mind, goals, and ambitions. Whether you’re a artist, musician, community organizer, or entrepreneur, TeaSquares Focus Bites help you Focus on What’s Next.
